MATH:
This week we will continue to focus on "Numbers to 120." The main concepts this week include estimation, number order, counting back and counting on by 1's or 10's from any number. Students will also be comparing numbers using the greater than (>), less than (<),and equal (=) symbols. The "Friendly Notes Part 2" information page is going home in your child's homework folder on Tuesday. HISTORY: 1st grade is wrapping up the "13 Colonies" unit. We spent the history block today reviewing and the test is on Tuesday. LITERATURE: Sam the Minute Man My Father's Dragon POETRY: "Washington" by Nancy Byrd Turner UPCOMING EVENTS: Wed.
