There were a few other schools attending the zoo for a field trip on the same day we attended. More than one parent made the comment to me that the Trivium East first graders were, by far, the most well behaved and respectful of all the schools that attended. Way to go first grade!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you to all of the chaperones. Everything ran very smoothly and I knew all of the scholars were safe with each of you! Thank you! FIELD DAY: Our field day is this Friday, April 6th. I know the school is sending out e-mails with information but, like I did with the field trip last week, I wanted to make sure to include some information based on my experiences from the past three years. Some of the information my be a repeat of what is in the general information e-mails that are being sent out. 1. K-1 begins their field days activities first thing in the morning. Please make sure to apply sunscreen before your child comes to school. 2. Make sure all hats, sunglasses, and water bottles are clearly labeled. We will be traveling from station and to station. It is easy to accidently leave an item behind when transitioning between stations. 3. The K-1 events take place in the morning. There will be academics in the afternoon. Please make sure your child brings his/her homework folder to school. 4. The students will be getting wet. Please send a change of clothes and a change of shoes and socks in a plastic bag. Please refer to the school e-mails for more details information about the field day. MATH: This week we are starting our unit on "Numbers through 120."
