MATH:
The "Number through 120" unit continues. This week's focus is on subtraction. The final "Friendly Notes" information page has been placed in your child's red homework folder today. Please use it as a reference when helping your child with homework and looking over graded quizzes and classwork that has been sent home. SPALDING: There will be no new words for Monday. The students will have a new list on Tuesday and Wednesday, a review on Thursday, and a 20 word spelling test on Friday. POETRY: The new poem is a fun one! It is "There Once was a Puffin" by Florence Page Jacques. Poetry recitations will begin the week of May 21st. For this week I would suggest focusing on the first two stanzas. LITERATURE: My Father's Dragon SCIENCE: Geology - "The History of the Earth" Astronomy UPCOMING DATES: Monday, April 23rd - PSO Family Night at Red Robin, 4 - 7 PM Friday, April 27th - Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, 8:30 AM
